Past Gigs
The Calder Prescott Jazz Groups have played for many varied functions
in the Otago area and further afield, and they have played in many
venues.
The Jazz Quartet has performed for Weddings, Twentyfirsts,
Formal Balls, Funerals, Jazz Concert, Street Parades, Store Openings,
Reunions, Pubs, Hotels, Restaurants etc., in Dunedin, Invercargill,
Christchurch, Timaru, Naseby and Queenstown.
The South City Six Dixieland Jazz Group has also played for
similar functions, mainly in Dunedin, But also in Oamaru, Queenstown,
Balclutha and at the Noosa Jazz Festival in Australia.
The Jazz Octet has performed at both the Otago Arts Festival
and the Queenstown Labour Weekend Festival. As well it has played
spots at the Robbie Burns Pub, and at the Summer Sunday afternoon
mini Jazz Festival.
The Dunedin City Jazz Orchestra (D.C.J.O.) has performed at
Balls and Jazz Concerts in Dunedin, Oamaru, Alexandra, Hindon, Invercargill,
Queenstown and Overseas in Sydney, Australia; Los Angeles, Disneyland,
Sacremento, Concord and San Francisco, U.S.A. Saas-Fee and at the
Montreux Jazz Festival, Switzerland; Mannheim, Germany; Amsterdam,
The Netherlands; and Broomers Hill, West Sussex, England on the Estate
of Michael Watt, expatriate New Zealand muti-millionaire!!
