The History...
This highly popular Jazz group is in its sixth year of performing
every Thursday night at the Robbie Burns Pub in Dunedin, New Zealand,
between 8:30 pm and 11:30 pm.
The members are:
Leader, Calder Prescott, Piano / Keyboard; Mike Gibbs, Trumpet; Neil Paget, Bass; and Jack Allpress, Drums / Vocals.
The Quartet has played for Weddings, 21sts, Funerals, Balls, Corporate Functions, Jazz Concerts and Festivals, Wine and Food Festivals, in fact
anywhere where music is an enhancement.

with leading Jazz groups for over 50 years.

Neil, our double bass player, is an avid Jazz enthusiast with over
thirty year's involvement in performing, promoting and convening Jazz
performances in Dunedin, Rotorua, Oamaru and Queenstown.

Mike was born in England in 1935, and started playing cornet at the age of seven, with the Lydbrook
Silver Brass Band.
